MTB Norcal to me is North Star or anywhere in Tahoe, Mt Shasta, Downieville and one of my favorites the Redding CA area. I’m sure I am leaving a lot more out but that is what this site is going to be about.
My name is Crazy Chris and I love to ride my MTB around northern California. My goal is to share my experiences with the world. I want people to come from wherever and go riding MTB with me, so if you want to ride MTB with me in the BEST place on Earth, Redding CA, hit me up in the comments below.
I remember when I took a road trip to North Star, 3 months after I bought my Specialized Big Hit. I had the time of my life on my MTB.
Mt Shasta has 2 different areas to ride MTB. One is the old sky bowl and the other is Mt Shasta ski park. Both are awesome and you can’t go wrong with either.
Downieville is another SICK place for MTB riding. With 2 businesses that shuttles MTB riders to the top of the “ Sunrise” trail, it’s all downhill from there. Maybe a few minor pedal areas. Downieville is also known for the “Downieville Classic” which is a major MTB event of the year and since 1995. Epic weekend for sure.
